IRS Final Form 990
Audio CD/MP3
Recorded January 17, 2008
Faculty: Dan
Mulholland & Henry Casale
On
December 20th, the IRS published the final version of its Form
990. The Final Form 990 is significantly different than the draft
form that the IRS proposed earlier in 2007, especially with regard
to the reporting of expenses, reimbursement to officers and directors,
restrictions on travel and the manner in which a tax-exempt hospital
must report "charity care."
The
Final Form 990 retained the questions asking whether the tax-exempt
organization has a number of policies, including policies that
address the following topics:
- Conflict
of interest
- Whistleblowers
- Document
retention and destruction
- Compensation
- Joint
ventures
- Charity
care
Join
Dan Mulholland and Henry Casale, partners of Horty, Springer & Mattern
for a discussion of the requirements in the new IRS Form 990
and what provisions should be included in the policies required
by the new form.
