Paul
A. Verardi is a partner with the law firm
of Horty, Springer & Mattern,
a firm devoted exclusively to the practice of hospital
and health care law.
For over 20 years, Paul has worked extensively with Medical
Staff leaders from all across the country on a variety
of credentialing, privileging, and peer review matters,
as well as on Medical Staff Bylaws revisions and due process
hearings.
He has served on the faculty of
HortySpringer's Complete Course for Medical Staff Leaders
since 1991, and has conducted numerous other national
and in-hospital Medical Staff retreats. He is one of
the authors of the The Medical Staff Leader Handbook,
and is also a principal developer of HortySpringer's & Medkinetic,
Inc.'s Universal Peer Review System.
Prior to joining HortySpringer, Paul obtained his undergraduate
degree from Duquesne University in 1983, graduating summa
cum laude. He then obtained his law degree from the Duquesne
University School of Law in 1986. While in law school,
he served as Associate Articles Editor for the Duquesne
Law Review.
