HHS Renews Public Health Emergency Declaration
The Department of Health and Human Services has renewed the COVID-19 public health emergency declaration for another ninety days. This became effective on April 21st and will remain in effect until at least July 20. Many of the regulatory flexibilities and waivers available to hospitals and health systems are tied to this declaration. To review the declaration, click here.

OIG Leadership Issues Compliance Reminder
The Office of Inspector General (“OIG”) has issued a reminder to vaccine providers and the public that the vaccine is being provided by the federal government and must be administered at no cost to recipients. OIG has received complaints from patients about charges by providers when getting their COVID-19 vaccines. For more information, click here.
