JOSHUA HODGES is an associate attorney in the law firm of Horty, Springer & Mattern. Joshua handles projects from each of the firm’s practice areas, assisting clients on a broad range of corporate, regulatory, and transactional matters. He frequently works on legal concerns involving recent health reform legislation, especially the Affordable Care Act. He is also an Assistant Editor of the firm’s Health Law Express weekly e-mail newsletter and contributes material to HortySpringer Central.
Joshua earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2015, graduating magna cum laude. He is a member of the Order of the Coif and a recipient of the Esther F. Teplitz Memorial Award for Law and Medicine, which is given each year to the student with the highest grade in Health Law and Policy. Joshua also obtained the school’s Certificate in Health Law, with a concentration in Health Care Administration, Finance, and Governance. He served as Articles and Topics Editor for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review and received the CALI award for his Civil Procedure class.
Prior to attending law school, Joshua was a William T. Young scholarship recipient at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. After his undergraduate studies, he obtained a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
