July’s Grand Rounds – Top 10 Tips for Effective Peer Review of Clinical Concerns
July 5, 2022 - 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm (ET)
Peer review has changed dramatically in recent years – for the better! Medical Staffs across the country are adopting new tools and techniques to create a process that’s educational, not punitive. While Medical Staffs need to tailor their review process to fit their circumstances, there are certain common denominators that promote success. These include clarifying the non-disciplinary role of the multi-specialty review committee, adopting practices to share “lessons learned,” and jettisoning “scoring” of cases.
Join Phil Zarone as he explores these and other tips to create an effective peer review process for clinical concerns.
- Identify obstacles to effective peer review of clinical concerns;
- Identify policy provisions that can be used to build an effective peer review process; and
- Identify specific actions they can take to implement such policies in an effective manner.
