CMS Issues Interim Final Rule regarding COVID-19 Vaccines and Treatments

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (“CMS”) recently announced the upcoming publication of an interim final rule aimed at addressing COVID-19 vaccination coverage and certain other COVID-19 treatments.  This interim final rule has not yet been published in the Federal Register, but the agency has made available a fact sheet that explains the key features.  Among other things, the interim final rule will address price transparency for COVID-19 diagnostic testing, a comprehensive discussion of COVID-19 vaccine coverage, and the extension of the end date for the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (“CJR”) model.  The fact sheet is available here.
