GRAND ROUNDS 2018

 Crisis!!! Now What?

CRISES!  These are not unusual in hospitals.    They show up in the ED and the OR and could happen anywhere.   Hospitals are ready with plans and drills and well-trained personnel throughout the organization.  But medical staff crises, while less frequent, are likely to occur during the tenure of any medical staff leader.  As with the more predictable crises, anticipation and preparation by medical staff leaders are the best ways to minimize any harm or disruption to the organization.   As with all crises, the earlier and more expert the medical staff intervention, the better the outcome.

This 7th edition  Grand Rounds series is designed with that goal in mind.  A practitioner under the influence; another whose “concurrent” or “overlapping” surgeries are beginning to experience “ambition creep”; and a medical staff election with no candidates, are just examples of crises that if anticipated can be averted… or at least handled professionally and promptly.  That’s what the 2018 Grand Rounds series is about.

Be ready.   We can help….
