CMS has been busy over the last month issuing final rules for hospitals, critical access hospitals, and other organizational providers.  The rules touch on the following:

      • histories and physicals;
      • autopsies;
      • infection control; and
      • swing beds to discharge planning and transfers of patients.

According to CMS, these initiatives are designed to place patients over paperwork.  But there are many questions that need to be answered.  For example:

      • Will the rules achieve their intended purpose?
      • What changes will you need to make to your policies and procedures?

Join Horty, Springer & Mattern attorneys Charlie Chulack and Joshua Hodges for this special audio conference “Patients Over Paperwork”? The New CMS Rules and Their Impact on Your Patients and Policies on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 for the answers to these questions and more.
